Present on Italy’s pagoPA platform since 2014, the MyBank payment method has recently been added to the desktop and mobile web applications of PagoPA S.p.A. This new integration allows citizens and businesses to enjoy an even faster and more intuitive payment experience, further simplifying payments to the Italian Public Administration through MyBank — the immediate confirmation, pre-filled, and irrevocable bank transfer.

Thanks to MyBank:

  • Over 250 PSPs have direct access to pagoPA without any additional integration.
  • More than 50 million users are enabled to use pagoPA through the network of banks connected to the MyBank scheme in Italy, Belgium, Spain, and Portugal.
  • In July 2024, following the addition of MyBank on pagoPA Checkout, a 9% year-over-year increase in transaction volumes was recorded.

 

Milan, 5 November 2024 – MyBank, the solution that enables fast and secure account-to-account (A2A) payments directly from users’ online banking, is now available on pagoPA Checkout and app IO, the desktop and mobile web applications of PagoPA S.p.A., the public tech company established with the mission to enhance and expand digital public services in Italy.

Through even quicker and more immediate access, citizens and businesses can now benefit from the MyBank payment method across additional online payment channels within the pagoPA ecosystem.

MyBank on pagoPA Checkout

The payment experience with MyBank on pagoPA Checkout is fast and intuitive, completed in just a couple of clicks: after entering the payment details or scanning the QR code on the payment notice, users will find MyBank among the available options.

By selecting MyBank, users simply choose their bank and confirm the pre-filled bank transfer to receive confirmation of the completed transaction along with the receipt from the institution to which the payment is being made.

MyBank on app IO

MyBank is also available on app IO, the mobile application that allows users to interact easily and securely with Italy’s local and national public services directly from their smartphones.

Users can now save the MyBank payment method within the “Portafoglio” wallet section of app IO, enabling them to make payments directly through their bank’s online banking service by following the same simple steps used for pagoPA Checkout. They benefit from the convenience of being redirected to their bank’s app when available, or alternatively, confirming the transaction via the selected bank’s mobile website.
